The Tone of Invisible Man changes to a much more caring tone when he goes to Harlem and leaves the south. Mary finds the invisible man and can clearly see that he is not right and very weak and she begins to act like she is his mother and takes care of him even though she doesn't have to. This shows the change in the invisible man after his lobotomy by expressing how it makes him a different person surrounded by a different type of people, who are actually caring and are worried about his well being.

I think that the Invisible Man identifies best with Dr. Bledsoe because he wants to become a very successful man and make an impact in the world and Dr. Bledsoe has already done that in his life. He views himself as similar to Dr. Bledsoe as well by saying, "If Dr. Bledsoe could do it, so could I" (Ellison, 164). The Invisible Man respects Dr. Bledsoe despite also viewing him with an egotistical attitude.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." - Martin Luther King Jr. 

This quote emphasizes what MLK did during his lifetime. He brought equality of races to the United States by standing for what he believes in and making the biggest difference during the difficult times of controversy rather than comfort.
